Rise and Go

READ
Matthew 26:45-46
CONSIDER
The time for prayer ends.
Jesus does not wait for the betrayer to find him in hiding. Instead, He says, "Rise! Let us go!"
Jesus is so ready to embrace God’s no that he stands and moves toward the literal trial and torture that is coming his way.
When you surrender fully, a "no" to your plans does not stop you; it launches you into your mission.
Jesus accepts the Father's "no" so we can receive the "yes" of salvation!
Now, he calls us to rise from our own Gethsemanes and follow him into holy service.
REFLECT
What does it look like for you to "rise and go" into a path you did not choose?
Reflect on how God has moved through your faithfulness in the past. Try holding your own plans loosely today and see where the Spirit leads for the sake of the kingdom of heaven and others.
PRAY
Lord, I am standing up. I choose Your path over mine. Lead me wherever You want me to go for Your glory. Amen.
