A Legacy That Lasts

1 Chronicles 17:13-17
CONSIDER
When David hears God’s massive promises, he doesn't brag about how great he is. Instead, he realizes that his life is part of a much bigger story and, in humility, he responds, "Who am I, Lord, that You’ve done all this for me?"
The way you live today matters. Your life sends ripples into the future. When you choose to be kind, to act with integrity, or to forgive someone who doesn't deserve it, you aren't just "being a good person." You are showing the world what God is like.
Your choice to follow God isn't just about your own peace of mind; it’s about the people watching you—your kids, your friends, and your neighbors. God wants to use your life to show His love to people you haven't even met yet.
REFLECT
Following Jesus is a team sport. When we let God change us, we become "light" for everyone else. Your life becomes a living example of God’s goodness, helping others find their way to Him too.
This is why we set our six-month goal of making personal connections with 490 people to share the love of Jesus with people outside of our church family. What can you do today to share Jesus’ love with someone, as you go through your normal routine? Pray for opportunities to be reminded that your faith isn’t just about your relationship with Jesus. It’s about those your relationship with Jesus can impact, too!
PRAY
Father, thank you for including me in your big plan. Help me to live today in a way that points others toward You. Let my life be a gift to someone else. Amen.
