Becoming Perfect

Have you ever thought, or has anyone ever told you, that to be a Christian means we’re expected to be flawless? No faults, no failures, no mistakes, no shortcomings?  

I mean, we’re supposed to become like Jesus and Jesus is flawless. Jesus even says commands us to be perfect...but if he means we have to be flawless, and we're expected to get there on our own... that's bad news because it’s a standard literally no one can reach.  

But the gospel of Jesus is Good News! In fact, the word gospel literally means “Good News!”  

So, here‘s the good news, in the Bible being perfect isn’t about being flawless, it’s about being filled.
